2014 WIAW 03

Such a tiring week. It's one of those time where I get home late from work and just want to collapse into bed. But at least this week I am eating my main meal at home! Whoop.
For breakfast, I had the normal banana and peanut butter on toast.
For a snack, I had an apple. They were on offer for a £1 a bag in Tesco and my bag came with 9 apples. Bargain!

I forgot to take a photo of my lunch (sorry), but I had a corned beef sandwich with wholegrain mustard, mayo, kale and tomatoes. It was really yummy and corned beef is something I haven't had in ages. It was another Tesco bargain find and was reduced to 50p.

I had an afternoon snack of a clementine. I went to Borough Market with my parents and we bought a big box of them for only £3 and shared them between us and my grandparents so am having to eat loads so they don't go to waste.
For dinner, we had another reduced meal of Breaded cod (reduced to 50p from Waitrose) with roasted parsnip, kale and peas. As I said in a previous post, Kale is 50p from Tesco at the moment so am making the most out of it!

Thanks to Peas and Crayons for hosting WIAW. I get addicted every week to going through people's eat and getting inspiration for my own food.

    1. Thanks! Parsnips are great as 'chips', or mashed with most meals and make a healthy side.

  2. I just bought a bunch of apples - I can't fathom not having any ever. My favorites are Fujis. Yours?

    1. I love Jazz apples but they are pretty expensive. I recently made a Kale salad with apple and blue cheese which was delicious.
