WIAW Wk 05

Wednesday seems to come round so quickly, but I have had a nice relaxing week and a catch up with some girlfriends after work with a glass of red wine. Here is what I ate Wednesday. For breakfast, I changed it up slightly and had bran flakes with banana.
I had a bit of a snacking day today. At the weekend, I made some homous which needed using up. I tried a different Thai recipe as I saw this blog post where you included peanut butter and couldn't resist. I was a little hesitant to add sweet chilli sauce, but it was amazing! So for lunch I had some tasty humous with celery and carrots.
Post lunch, I have been having a craving for sweetness so it seems to become a staple for me to have an apple after lunch.

I then had a little afternoon treat of pretzels. I recieved these in my Christmas hamper and they are an M&S assortment. It consists of traditional pretzels, salt and pepper trees and my personal favourite, sour cream and onion stars. Yum.

For dinner, I made myself some spiced parsnip soup (a Waitrose recipe) as I recently found a pack of parsnips for 10p in Asda! Bargain! It was super yummy and quite spicy so had to add a bit of yogurt to cool it down a little for me.

In the evening I had a little chocolate before bed but forgot to picture it!
Thanks to Peas and Crayons for hosting.

  1. I love putting banana in my cereal. It just adds the right amount of sweetness to the dish. Mmm. :)
Peanut butter in hummus? I think I may need to try that out!
    The soup sounds delicious!

    1. Bananas keep me going as well so don't have to snack as much.
The soup was delicious (if a little spicy) but a great way to use up parsnips!

  2. Lisa, your dinner soup looks perfect! The color is just beautiful, and so appealing.
