WIAW A bit too beige?


I am not sure how other people take photos for their WIAW, but I normally use multiple cameras. When I am work, I use my small digital camera, and when I am at home, I use my SLR. The only problem with this, is that it gets fiddly and can be quite annoying. But I have finally joined the 21st century and now have a smart phone, so will be trying that camera out for my WIAW posts. I have yet to figure out the best way to do this, so next week I should be using my phone camera.

Anyway, onto what I ate on Monday. It started off with an cinnamon and raisin bagel (reduced at Waitrose) with peanut butter and banana.

I snacked on some of these throughout the day, finishing the pack in the course of the day.

Then for lunch (was a little boring...sorry) I made a cheese, salad cream and cucumber salad with my parent's home grown lettuce. They have just started a greenhouse and their lettuce is blooming so was allowed to steal some!
I had an apple with some natural yogurt as a snack as well as a couple of oranges which were super sweet. I have learned the hack to opening them without getting really messy (by cutting the top and bottom, then unrolling).



Dinner was a recipe that I tried from Sainsbury's which you can find a review of here. It was courgette and white bean Quesadillas and were really tasty. I loved the texture of the tortilla, and even though it felt naughty, it was full of veggies and beans so was actually not that bad!

I feel like my food looked a bit beige this week and need to try and introduce a bit more colour into my meals. I do find I need carbs to fill me up, but with a sandwich for lunch and tortilla for dinner, maybe I should have gone for something else. The weather has been really nice so would be great to get some more interesting salads into my diet. Do you have any nice salad ideas or recipe links I could try?
