WIAW 41 Salads and soups

How I love to curl up with a blanket in the colder weather. The winter coats are back on (and begrudgingly so are the gloves all day every day) and the blender is working overtime on soups.
I went back to the normal of peanut butter and banana on a bagel. Over the weekend I found two different packs of bagels reduced which made my day!
I really regretted my lunch choice. I had a few things that needed using up and the only thing I could think of was a dipping salad with soft cheese. It tasted great but I was craving warm hot chocolate every mouthful!
I had an afternoon snack of an apple. I had lots of hot drinks to keep me warm throughout the day and I think it filled my tummy as I was surprised I wasn't hungier.

I satisfied my need for something warm and comforting in the evening with homemade soup. It was a tasty mix of leek, broccoli, spinach and potato, and we had it with bake at home rolls from Aldi. I was pleased that there was enough soup for me to have some the next day and it tasted even nicer!
Pete bought a sneaky cheesecake for dessert which was the perfect evening indulgence. I topped it with some berries I warmed up from the freezer and helped with the sweetness of the cake.
Maybe it was the dessert but I didn't feel like I had the healthiest day of eats, but looking back, I would have easily had my five a day. I do find when I have something like soup, as it isn't a light salad or normal vegetable meal, it feels naughty. Do you get that too?
Thanks as always to peas and crayons for hosting.
