WIAW 43 Bargain Healthy Food
My dinners this week were a real bargain. I just love coming to the end of the day and having eaten some delicious food for very little money. My usual morning bagels with peanut butter and banana were reduced working out to be 10p a bagel! (unpictured as it is the same as always)
Lunch was reduced from waitrose, a teriyaki chicken pot and a tofu pot(19p each) I believe these were new introductions and they were great, but my preference was the tofu as t had some really tasty seaweed mixed on.
Snacks included a homemade chocolate chip cookie (unpictured) and some reduced edamame beans (40p)
We took the root of fish for dinner. I had some trout in the freezer than I picked up at 60p for two large pieces. I made it with roasted beetroot, fennel (10p each) and spinach.
Unfortunately that didn't fill me up so we had a late evening snack of oat cakes, cheese and pickle..luckily I didn't have any nightmares!
Thanks to Peas and Crayons for hosting.
