Recipe 45 Overnight Oats

I have always wanted to try overnight oats and with the weather suddenly turning chillier, it is the perfect way to warm you up. I found a simple recipe from a blogger, Kath Eats Real Food, that I regularly follow an decided to try it out.
Ingredients
1/3 cup rolled oats
1/3 – 1/2 cup milk [depending on how thick you like it]
1/3 cup plain yogurt
1/2 banana
1/2 tbsp chia seeds
Pinch salt
Pinch cinnamon

I didn't have any chia seeds but it seemed perfectly fine without them. I made them in a kilner jar, but in the morning I realised this may not have been a good idea for me as I like them warmed up in the microwave.

I topped it with banana and blueberries and thought I might need some added sweetness such as jam or honey, but I think with the banana in the oats overnight produced a natural sweetness that was fine.
I used the smaller amount of milk in my oats, and found this to be a little thicker than I would normally have it, but actually when I tried it, I really enjoyed it. After realising how easy this is to make, it is something I might try to do more often...now I need to see how full it keeps me throughout the day.
