WIAW 50 Spending time with family

This weekend felt like Christmas round one. I had a few days off work and spent it home with my family as we were celebrating my grandparents 60th wedding anniversary (congratulations). We exchanged cards and gifts and ate a lot of tasty food. This was what I ate the Monday after the weekend.
I was still at home and my dad had treated me to some delicious fruit including a passionfruit he found at the market. It was the first time I had eaten the fruit in it's natural form and in a way, I wish I hadn't. They were so delicious and sweet I want more! I ate one for breakfast with raspberries, blueberries and strawberry flavoured yogurt.
As I had the Monday off and wasn't travelling back to London immediately, I thought it would be nice to catch up with my granddad. We chatted over a teas and a chocolate twist from Costa.
As nobody had been in the flat over the weekend, I had to do a food shop and I managed to pick up some reduced Tikka flavoured turkey breast. I had some in a wrap with spinach and tomato and quickly warmed it up in the oven.

As it had been a chilly day, I wanted something warm and comforting for dinner. I found some bolognese I had made in the freezer that needed using up so topped it with some carrot and sweet potato mash and served with greens. A sort of warm and cozy cottage pie.
My evening snack will most likely be the same throughout December as I chomp my way through two delicious advent calendars.
