WIAW Book Club Dipping Feast
Is it bad that I'm already counting down the days until the bank holiday? My weekends and evening have been full of social events and sometimes you just need to sit and do nothing. I realised recently that I have yet to take any time off work, so I think finding some dates will be on my list.
Anyway, on Monday, I actually reverted to my peanut butter and banana on bagel breakfast as I really didn't fancy anything too warming.
I had a late morning snack of some blueberries, grapes and strawberries.
Lunch consisted of a tasty leftover roll from Aldi, with cheese, juicy vine tomatoes and cucumber. The roll was really soft and I was surprised that the seeds ran throughout the whole mixture rather than just sprinkled on the top.
My afternoon snack was a great little home-made eccles cake.
In the evening was my book club. After last month's amazing cheese feast, it appeared everyone went along the dip and chips route. We had a mixture of beetroot homous, guacamole, and sour cream and chive dips with olives, pistachios and later some warm baked dough balls with garlic butter.
A tasty days of eats, and I must say I really overate in the evening as the food was in front of me within easy reach!
