WIAW Autumn Holiday Edition
As Christmas approaches, it is nice to have a sneaky week off work in the New Forest. I have never been down this late in the year, and although very chilly, it's great to wrap up warm in front of the open fire. My first breakfast of my break was a crumpet with lashings of butter, yogurt and apple which I then had with some granola. We got in the Christmas spirit for lunch and ate a brie, bacon, cranberry and spinach panini that was actually toasted on a George Foreman grill, but worked really well.
In the evening, despite being really full from a second helping of pie, I nibbled on another chocolate biscuit. Despite being on holiday, I love the fact that we have time to cook and enjoy different foods and am pleased to have a place that enables us to do that.
Do you enjoy foodie holidays? What have you eaten this Wednesday?
