Banana and Brown Rice Smoothie with Tilda

As Christmas approaches, we are all guilty of treating ourselves to more chocolate or the occasional treat. In fact, a study has found that from the 4th December, people ditch their diets for festive treats. I was sent some samples from Tilda, to create some recipes which are tasty and healthy to have throughout the Christmas period to help avoid overindulging.
I tried a banana and brown rice recipe adapted from Dr Sarah Schenker, which includes slow release energy to avoid those mid morning cravings. I am all for a good healthy breakfast to start off the day, so the idea of adding some easy cook brown rice into a smoothie sounded delicious to me.
Ingredients (for 1)

1 pouch of Tilda Steamed Brown Basmati
150ml milk (or rice milk)
1 ripe bananas
1 tsp honey
1 tsp peanut butter
Fresh berries to top

Method

Cook the rice according to packet instructions
Spoon 1 tbsp of the cooked rice into a blender and add the milk,
banana, honey and peanut butter
Blend all the ingredients until smooth
Decant into a glass and top with fresh berries if desired.
