WIAW Event Party Food

Despite it being winter, I am not yet craving the warm bowls of porridge I have eaten in previous years. I find that the banana and peanut butter combination is doing me just fine.
For lunch, I had some leftovers of a pasta bake from the previous night. It was smoked kippers in a cheesy sauce with courgettes, broccoli and a side salad.
I had some small snacks in the afternoon of soft apricots and satsumas.
In the evening, I was luckily enough to go to an event with work, hosted at the O2. As well as a ping pong table, karaoke booth, live music and a fun GIF maker, the food was amazing. Cocktails and canapes started off the evening, including quails egg and bacon and mini welsh rarebit. We then went onto a (classy) buffet, with a section of amazing tapas, and a selection of fresh sushi. Needless to say I ate more than my fair share of delicious food.

To finish off there was also a dessert bar, where I tried a little of everything. There was a victoria sponge, black forest sponge, macaroons, carrot cake and lemon meringue. A great way to end the evening.
