WIAW Burns Night

I'm not sure how many people celebrate Burns Night, but in the UK, the Haggis and Whiskey made an appearance. It is a celebration of Scottish life, and even though I'm not aware of any Scottish blood in my family, it is always worth joining in the fun.
Breakfast was a normal morning of banana and peanut butter on a bagel. At work, we have introduced a new fruit bowl, where I buy the week's worth of fruit to share in the office to avoid the temptation of the normal high sugar foods. In Waitrose they are currently doing a 25% offer when you buy 5 fruit or veg which I made the most of. Of course, this means I nibbled on fruit the whole day!

Lunch was leftover pasta from the night before, with roasted tomatoes, pepper and cheese.

And for dinner, as well as going via a brief taste of Whiskey, I tried Haggis for the first time ever. If you were to read the ingredients, you may be a little put off, but I actually thoroughly enjoyed the flavour it had. Instead of the traditional swede, I made a parsnip and carrot mash and roasted some veg to go with it.
Of course, my night snack was a couple of delicious M&S chocolate truffles.
