Tom Kerridges Chocolate Cakes with Orange Mascarpone Recipe

I am a sucker for a chocolate dessert...and what more could I ask for than a warm orange chocolate dessert. These cakes from Tom Kerridge's Best ever dishes are really easy to make and are served with a refreshing orange cream on top. I am really enjoying the recipes from this book at the moment, as is of a time when Tom Kerridge was still producing hearty homely grub (which just isnt the same in his 'Toms Tables' book). As there isn't any flour in this recipe, they are rich and velvety and a great indulgent dessert. 

For the cakes
190g dark chocolate
125g butter
4 eggs
190g caster sugar
zest of 1 orange
For the Mascarpone
75g mascarpone cheese
75ml double cream
Zest of 1/2 orange
6 cardamon pods, seeds removed and crushed
25g caster sugar

1. Preheat the oven to 120c
2. Put the chocolate and butter in a large bowl over a pan of barely simmering water. Melt together until smooth.
3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs and sugar until light and fluffy. Take the bowl of chocolate and whisk in the eggs and sugar. Add the orange zest and mix together. Divide this mix between six or eight ovenproof bowls and bake for 45-50 minutes until they are just cooked-it should still have a wobble to it. Leave to cool a little.
4. Whisk together all the ingredients for the mascarpone cream until nice and smooth. Spoon a big dollop onto the warm cakes and serve.
